Adding drivers to your account

Your business is growing - that’s exciting!


As you expand, you may want to bring on a family member, friend, or helper to assist you with transports. Before they can participate in ANY way (handling pets, communicating with customers, driving for certain shipments, etc.), they must be approved through CitizenShipper. This protects you, your customers, and the animals in your care.

As per the Driver Agreement, any person assisting you with shipments must go through our background screening process before participating on the platform. 

The primary account holder is responsible for reporting each additional person to CitizenShipper Support and paying for their background screening, as a $7 fee applies for each background check

To register an additional driver/helper, please email our support team at support@citizenshipper.com with the following information:

  1. Your written permission to process the $7 background check fee for each individual
  2. The full name, email address, and phone number for the person you wish to add to your account.


Once received, our team will initiate an official screening through Checkr, our background screening provider. The additional driver/helper will receive an invitation directly from Checkr to submit their information.

Eligibility to work on the platform will be determined based on the results of the screening and at CitizenShipper’s sole discretion.
